Mark your calendars 2018 RMC Foundation Charity Golf Classic WEDNESDAY, OCT. 3 The 22nd annual RMC Foundation Charity Golf Classic provides a great opportunity for area businesses to support the health care needs of our community. Last year, with more than 180 players, over $116,000 was raised for these important causes. Proceeds benefit hospital services and new equipment purchases that enable the delivery of high-quality health care. Your dollars hard at work Thanks to you, the power of philanthropy is making a difference at RMC. Your donation can benefit a specific hospital service or program, or we will apply your gift to the general Foundation funds for important and pressing health care service needs for the community. Past donations have supported the purchase of equipment for diagnostic imaging and physical therapy/rehabilitation, as well as items for our Transition of Care program to help keep patients healthy and avoid readmissions. Foundation funds purchased the trophon® EPR high level disinfection system for ultrasound probes to eliminate microorganisms, including the HPV virus. In addition, the recent $50,000 purchase of ICU beds for Stringfellow Memorial Hospital was made possible by donated funds. Regional Medical Center is a 501(c)(3) organization, gifts to which may be deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. “Giving is not just about making a donation.
