Regional Medical Center | Thrive for Life | Winter 2018

Louis Bass Regional Medical Center CEO To your health As the new year dawns, new hopes and expectations begin to play out. Reflections on accomplishments and challenges of the past year inform the work and promise of the year to come. At Regional Medical Center, we move forward with the belief that our organizational health will ultimately benefit the health and well-being of all those we serve. Last year, we grew with the addition of physical facilities and with new or enhanced services. To expand cancer care at RMC, we began working with UAB Medicine Radiation Oncology to provide full-time, board-certified radiation oncologists. In April 2017, RMC’s Oxford Mediplex opened, offering the latest in diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, and primary care and specialty physician offices. We welcomed Stringfellow Memorial Hospital into our family of care in May. And the RMC Orthopaedic and Joint Center opened at RMC Anniston last summer. These service enhancements and expansions reflect RMC’s commitment to keep you close to home when needing care and to uphold not only the privilege but also the responsibility of being your local health care provider. It’s a distinct privilege to care for the health needs of you and your family, and it’s our resolute responsibility to work tirelessly to meet those needs. On behalf of our employees and physicians, thank you for your continued support of and trust in RMC. TOUCH AND GO How RMC fought for this heart attack survivor. EMERGENCY!
